About SDSN Youth Greece
UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network Youth - Greece has been included in the SDSN Youth Network since September 2016. It works closely and provides tangible support to SDSN Greece.
SDSN Youth focuses on amplifying the tremendous energy and capabilities of youth in generating broader buy-in for the UN Sustainable Development Goals by mobilizing recourse and building capacity to empower action. SDSN Youth Greece aims to empower the Greek Youth Communities, in order to create sustainable solutions. It provides a platform for young people from different backgrounds to connect and share ideas and experiences addressing the challenges of sustainable development. Our network's priorities are youth mobilization on education and global cooperation, organizing and participating in youth events of the region as well as globally, sharing and creating best practices while inspiring young people.
SDSN Youth is based upon the belief that young people are the ideal agents to be at the forefront of the sustainable development movement: they are forward-thinking, creative, and come in large numbers. Young people make up nearly half the world’s population, the biggest generation we are yet to see - they are the most educated, charitable, and entrepreneurial amongst other age groups.
Sustainable development is a unique solution to global challenges. Our future and humanity rely on this. Sustainable Development Goals are the motivation and the answer we need to communicate to our Youth, in order to achieve Change and make Sustainability our reality. SDSN Youth- Greece Network aspires to be lead and contribute to Sustainability, by localizing the SDGs and promoting the SDSN Youth Initiative.
